Starting from a hand-made tradition sweets named Yusempei to a local variation of Champon Noodle, food in Unzen is definitely a must when travelling here. Yusempei is a thin and crispy wafer that is made of eggs, flour, and most importantly water from Unzen hot spring. Obama Champon, different from the ones in Nagasaki city, is popular for its light texture and the richness of the chicken and pork stock.
